Glencore and Meranti Green Steel have announced a partnership to help promote the decarbonization of the steel industry.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today encompasses the supply of high-grade iron ore pellets and premium ferrous-based scrap metal, the collaboration on shipment and logistics solutions across Meranti's supply chain, as well as the development of robust risk management solutions.

Dr Sebastian Langendorf, Meranti's CEO, stated: "Our partnership with Glencore marks a momentous step forward in Meranti's mission to contribute to a new era of sustainable steel production.
